Pumpkin Run


On Friday, we will be having a pumpkin run for relay for life. If you or anyone in your family has survived cancer, please let me know so I can decorate a poster in honor of them for us to carry during our run. If you would like to join us for our run, it will begin at 10am and our Monster Bash will shortly follow. I’m looking forward to a great time! Yay!

Monster Bash!

To finish up our reality/fantasy unit we will be celebrating Halloween Monster style. I am asking that each child have a mask to bring to school (DO NOT WEAR TO SCHOOL) to wear for our party. We will be playing games, making crafts & sweet treats, dancing, eating pizza, watching Monster House and making Monster Mash! Please keep in mind that we cannot allow scary! Let me know if you have any questions!

Pumpkin Investigation


Today we explored our pumpkins that we brought in this past week. We talked about their sizes and how they differ. The kids really enjoyed that! Then my assistant and I cut the tops off all the pumpkins and let the kids dig out the seeds. The kids then counted the seeds and investigated their pumpkins. We talked about what they looked like inside and outside, their sizes, and their colors and compared the seeds. Needless to say the kids
